- I have been a Drug and alcohol Counselor for over 30 years. A Better Choice Counseling Services, LLC provides treatment for those suffering from the disease of chemical dependency. In the course of treatment you will be treated for the negative physiological and spiritual effects of the disease. Our program requires that you sustain from all mood-altering chemicals. Counseling methods will encompass a variety of techniques and formulated by the experiences of our counseling staff. Treatment techniques will also be adapted to fit your own personal needs. You will be given the tools to make positive life changes. Reality based therapy and cognitive principles are primary techniques. You will be educated on problem solving, coping skills, and how the negative effects of chemical use have played a part in your life. Treatment regimens will include, but are not limited to individual counseling sessions, group therapy, educational sessions, and relapse prevention.
